The courses are structured work-site experiences for which the student, program area
teacher, work based learning coordinator, and worksite supervisor/mentor develop and
implement a business/education contract (training agreement). The training agreement
is designed to integrate the students' academic and technical skills into a work environment.
Regular meetings and seminars with school personnel for supplemental instruction and
feedback (progress reviews) will be included. Work Based Learning students who choose
to participate in the WBL program and are not interested in taking part in a work-site
setting may take advantage of alternative course competencies.
