Position Title: Assistant Director of Bands/Instructor of Music

Position Description:(primary functions)
The Assistant Band Director will work closely in conjunction with the Director of Bands to provide quality classroom instruction and assist with a variety of administrative duties for the entire band program.Minimum Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Music (with experience in directing, supervising, and managing auxiliary groups and teaching instrumental music for marching band, concert band, and other small ensembles).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-direct the marching and concert band, as well as directing chamber ensembles
- Direct the basketball pep band
- Teach Music Appreciation as the Department Chair may see fit to add to the academic schedule
- Teach Applied Instrumental Music Classes
- Assist with recruitment and retention of band program members
